Chapter 1072: Naha West Inn (那覇ウエストイン)

I was staying at the Naha West Inn. Originally I was only supposed to stay here for a night but I had to extend because KLM did something really stupid. First they cancelled my flight back home telling me that from Naha to Seoul it was cancelled and that they put me on a different flight for Seoul to Amsterdam which was flying a day later. So I was like…So do I have to swim to get to Seoul or what? Had to contact customer services. They managed to put me on a flight home the day after. But I had to transfer to Taiwan instead. The hotel staff was happy to offer me an option. To stay in the same room for 2 nights (smoking room) or stay in a non smoking room for a night then move to the smoking room on the second night. In the end it was better to stay in the smoking room so I don’t have to move around. I always try not to stay in them but to my surprise it wasn’t too bad, it didn’t have a strong tobacco smell. My room was the Residential Semi Double Room with a Kitchen in the Main Building. The hotel has 2 buildings, the Main and New.
It’s like a little home. And it’s very cosy and quiet at night. The room has a microwave, washing machine, cooking stove and sink.
I love Japanese hi-tech toilets. They’re the best, not sure why the rest of the world isn’t adopting it? Before you flush you can wash your hands on the top sink with clean water, when you flush the water you used to wash your hands it’s instantly recycled and flushed away.
The bathroom is perfect for me. I’m quite petite so I don’t need a big bathroom. The best thing is…THE DEEP BATHTUB! I love Japanese deep soaking bathtubs because you can sit up. I don’t like western bathtubs that are made like a boat because I keep sliding down. Everything was cosy, the staff here are extremely friendly. Plus location-wise it’s less than a 10min walk from Asashibashi Station and about a 15min walk from Kencho Mae Station.
