Chapter 991: A Cloudy Day On Ishigaki Island

The weather was horrible all day, rain and more rain to come. Thick cloudy skies and it become dark very quickly. I was walking to the limestone cave and on the way there were mainly large green open space. It’s a BIG contrast to the city or town. It was however a pleasant an easy walk. Google Maps was telling me it would be a 44 min one way walk from the port so it wasn’t bad. There wasn’t much to see along this path. A few cars and trucks went by. And I remember specifically the road on the other side…There were 2 men trimming some trees and said hello to me and I said hello back. I don’t listen to music often when I’m travelling so my ears were free to listen to the world. At one point I saw some goats.

  1. “I don’t listen to music often when I’m travelling so my ears were free to listen to the world. ” That is one of the best statements I’ve heard in relation to traveling, or life in general. One of the most effective ways to miss out on every aspect of the world is to wear headphones while out and about. I just feel so sorry for people I see doing that.

    1. Thank you 😊
I think it’s always good to stop listening to music to have more of an experience when travelling to a new place! Because you might miss something interesting, use both eyes and ears just in case. But if I’m commuting to work I will 100% listen to music because it’s stressing. 😂
