Chapter 856: Imizu Shrine (射水神社)

Imizu Shrine (射水神社)

Standing beautifully on the the old castle bailey is Imizu Shrine. You simply can not miss it, this charming shrine is located in Takaoka. One of the first things you’ll notice is the interesting Torii gate, the structure and colour…looks very different compared to other torii gates you’ll come across in Japan. The outer layer is made up of bronze, making it look very heavy and sturdy but there is a reason for this. Historically, the city of Takaoka was well known for its metal casting. Thus, the torii here stands proud of its long history.
