I love seafood markets in Japan. You get the freshest and most delicious stuff here. Outside and inside, you will come across many many stalls. Usually it opens everyday from 6am and most stalls are closed by 2pm. Near the Murakami restaurant there’s also a very small outside stall, I remember it being very popular as it will cook fresh oysters, corn and scallops.

I love walking around there, but my favourite place to eat breakfast is about 2 blocks away called Kushimbo (https://tabelog.com/en/hokkaido/A0105/A010501/1029331/). Everyone I’ve rec’d the place to absolutely loves it! 🙂

Hakodate was our first stop in Japan after a long crossing via cruise ship. We were blown away by how amazing the seafood at the morning market was!
