Chapter 667: 7-Eleven Oyako-Don, Veggie Sticks, Sakura Mochi Zenzai (セブンの親子丼・野菜スティック・桜もちぜんざい)

7-Eleven Oyako-Don, Veggie Sticks, Sakura Mochi Zenzai (セブンの親子丼・野菜スティック・桜もちぜんざい)

What a day! I returned back to the hotel before midnight and I was starving! I bought a quick convenient store meal from 7-Eleven. I’ve had oyako-don before and I absolutely loved it, the convenient store version is also very good, full of delicious flavour and the meat especially was very tender. The top layer is all the egg and chicken goodness, and underneath was the steamed rice, the double layer box kept everything separate to prevent soggy rice.

I also had Sakura Mochi Zensai, it was actually VERY SWEET!! Maybe a bit too sweet for my liking but the mochi was good. I also bought some veggie sticks (Cucumbers, Carrots, and Daikon) it came with a small tub of Miso Mayonnaise Dip (味噌マヨディップ). I LOVED this dip so much, it’s very addictive. I didn’t eat a lot of veggies when I was in Japan, so it was always good to find something to keep give my body some fibre.
