Going to Hokkaido was probably the best decision I’ve ever made. I visited the island during May – June this year. (the end of spring and the beginning of summer) As I’m not a huge fan of winter and prefer warmer seasons, especially spring in particular and early autumn. I managed to visit all the places I stated in one of my previous posts: (Chapter 224: Going to Hokkaido)
- Cape Kamui in Shakotan (Also visited Cape Shakotan and it was beautiful)
- Goryokaku in Hakodate
- Takinoue Shibazakura Moss Phlox
- Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park
- Shirogane Blue Pond
- Unkai Terrace (The Sea of Clouds) in Tomamu
Also added onto the adventures: Otaru, Biei, Furano (Lavender Farm), Maruseppu (Wisteria Park), and Asahikawa (Asahiyama Zoo), Mt. Moiwa and of course, the city of Sapporo. If only I had a longer holiday then I would definitely see more and have eaten more, I would love to go more east, south and even north. Hokkaido resides its place as number one in my heart! And I will most definitely one day return!!
I also fulfilled the 3 foods I wanted to try for the first time in my life:
- Curry Soup
- Uni Don
- Jingisukan (Genghis Khan – Grilled Mutton)
I totally had a blast and even got a tan. The most difficult part for any holiday, is the return home and back to work. Next up, I will start to upload my Hokkaido edition posts. Onwards we shall go!!
