I find the canal in Hakata a lovely place to walk by at night. You’d come across the black waters that reflect the colourful lights from the buildings. Also, along side the canal you’d find many little food stools, they’re called Yatai (屋台). They normally serve food like, yakitori, oden or ramen. Not to mention many alcohol beverages are available. The stalls are usually open around evening time to early hours in the morning, but it does depend on the weather.
