Hotel Select Inn Kurume. I stayed here for 2 nights simply because I wanted to be close to the Plaza for the musical show. The hotel is located conveniently about 5 minutes away from the Plaza, 10 minutes by foot to Hanabatake Station and Nishitetsu-Kurume Station. There are plenty of food places around with a 7Eleven nearby. The hotel itself caters to a lot of business men and women.
I opted for a single room, it was small and decent sized for 1 person, equppied with all the essentials from a fridge to hairdryer and towels. My room came with free breakfasts which were cooked by a lovely elderly staff member who was very passionate about cooking and reccomended me to try her meatballs as she was very proud of them. It was a buffet style layout with the usual rice, salad, pasta, meat, fish, miso soup and even curry if you fansy.
The food was actually really tasty and itself tasted very homemade. Although, the hotel was a little outdated, it was very cosy and I enjoyed my stay. It was about 4000 yen a night which is very affordable considering the location was very convinient, staff spoke no english, however everyone was absolutely amazing and so welcoming.

Looks like a nice place. It is always good when someone is truly caring about their cooking. The food was nicely presented, too.
Cheers
