Chapter 387: Dealing with Japan Post-Holiday Blues

file-5-2

I’m sure many people can relate. I’ve been on holiday to a handful of countries so far and it always hits hard when it comes to Japan. There’s just that special something that I haven’t found anywhere else. Although not immediate, the saddness would creep up and lurk around like a shadow eating away at my spirit. It’s common for anyone to experience post-holiday blues after being abroad to an amazing country. Getting over it is another story.

Sometimes weeks or months. It always takes a bit of time to re-adjust to normal daily routines and push on with life. At times, I honestly feel like a hermit crab that needs to hide away from the world until the coast is clear. When it comes to holiday planning, the research, the preparations, it’s all so exciting for me, and really pumps up my happy mood. It’s good to keep my mind busy with positive thoughts until the next adventure date, 15th April 2019. In the meantime, more posts about my adventures in Japan are coming up…

  1. I haven’t experienced travelling to another country yet, as a visitor and not an immigrant, but I know that when I visit Japan I will more than likely have similar feelings. Or even when I visit Ireland and Scotland. I’m sorry that you’re feeling the post-travel blues. I don’t know if it will help or make things worse, but take pleasure in the fact that you have had amazing travel adventures and that they won’t be your last ones. Also that you’ll get to see Japan again one day! ♥

    1. Hmm I have planned Japan again for next spring …maybe South Korea later on next year around autumn but I’m unsure at this moment in time… I’d love to visit places like Beijing or Shanghai in the future, any suggestions? 😊✨

    1. Yup planning a holiday is just sooooo fun!!!! Hmm I am unable to leave my current office job to go japan for a year or 2 since I’m overall happy with my job. So I think a yearly holiday to japan is more than enough for me 😊
