A beautiful lanscape garden in Kumamoto, almost like a painting. Suizenji is absolutely breath-taking. The garden park was built during the 17th century featuring not only nature but a shrine, torii gates, statues etc. Which I’ll show in my next up-coming posts. The admission fee was 400 Yen and sometimes they do have guided tours. I spent about a good 40 mins here admiring the beauty. It was very quiet, with just a few people around which gave me the opportunity to really take my time and enjoy the view. The waters were so clear you can see tiny little fishes swimming around in one area and karps in the next. There were benches and vending machines at your convinience. I would definitely reccomend visiting.

Looks like an attractive garden, but I was surprised that the grass seemed burnt. Was your visit during the summer months?
