Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum 2018. Admission: 200 Yen.
Very much like the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, I had to brace myself because I get very emotional and teary. Almost dead silence inside, although there were some people around, it was so silent even a pin-drop could be heard. There were plenty of information about atomic bomb, pictures, survivors on recorded tv documentaries, and remains of clothing etc. I stopped by the tv showing of a woman who explained how after the flash she felt pain on her face and body, but she didn’t care and felt she had to return home no matter what. The determination of the surviors really got me teary. In one of the black and white photos it showed a one-column Torii Gate that remained standing after the blast destroyed the other. Which, I made it a must visit, I shall blog about it in my up-coming Nagasaki Edition posts.
