Going up to the Jigokudani Monkey Park is about a 40min hike one way. The snow wasn’t too thick so it wasn’t as slippery as I thought. Having hiking boots was the best idea the internet offered! The journey was very peaceful and enjoyable all the way. Although I don’t like snow very much, it was very pretty seeing all the tall trees airbrushed in all white. Good for the body to absorb fresh air and good for legs to gain some muscles. I was extremely excited that day and didn’t sleep too much because I was so eager to see some fluffy wild monkeys.
