This is one of the main attractions of Kamakura you just can’t leave without seeing!! There is a small admission fee of 200 yen. You can also enter the buddha for I think…20 yen. It’s very dark inside with a narrow passage way. There is a garden around the back with a few statues and plants, etc. I thought it was a good day out in the sun! And again…Like many places in Japan that are tourist hot-spots, it’s always good to visit early to avoid the unnecessary disappointment of not being able to get a chance to snap better pictures. I arrived around 10am and there a few people there already, but still pretty quiet and peaceful.
