This was a budget hotel yet it had everything I needed included a free daily breakfast buffet. Located down Motomachi Kobe. Placed in a great spot, next to China Town and Starbucks, nearby Daimaru with plenty of food and shopping places that can be reached in a few minutes. Motomachi station is only about 5-7 minutes away by foot with Sannomiya station only 15 minutes away. Check in starts at 3pm so when I got there I was an hour early but they were kind enough to keep my luggage and I was free to wonder off. Checking in was very easy, the gentleman that served me was very delightful and welcoming.

As it’s almost Christmas, the lobby was decorated with an xmas tree. Good seating area with polished floors.

My room was big enough for 1 person, with a double sized bed, equipped with a TV, wifi, a kettle, tea and everything was spotlessly clean. No bathtub unfortunately, but a good shower-room supplied with shampoo, conditioner and body soap. The toilet is equipped with a washlet and flushes automatically when your butt-cheeks depart from the self-heated seat, and you are given daily free toiletries e.g. Toothbrush/paste, compact hairbrush, and cotton buds. New towels and disposable slippers.

The bed was very cosy and I slept like a baby. The hallways are very quiet, you can’t even hear a soul. In the morning, I had breakfast early between 7am – 8am because that is the time where it’s less busy. After 9am it becomes a crowd and you’d have to wait in line until your room number is called out. You have a few varieties from salads, fruits, sausages, toasts, freshly made omelettes, pastries, and soup. You can have coffee, juice, tea and fresh fruity ice water.

Of course, you have the option to not have your room cleaned daily, but I did! Housekeeping is between 11am – 3pm which was perfect for me because during those hours I was out and about. Also the maids would leave a card after cleaning your room as a small gesture of kindness with their name on it.

Coin laundry facilities are located on the 2nd floor, the room to the left when you come out of the lift. There is also a vending and ice machine to be used at your convenience.

I was here for 3 consecutive nights plus 1 night and it was overall a great stay. I enjoyed my showers and beauty sleep, but above all, it was the location that made it worth-while. Plus, charging only about 5000 Yen/night fitted well within my budget range.
